Oman LNG L.L.C.

Oman LNG is a limited liability incorporated joint venture company established by Royal Decree and organised under the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.  It engages in the business of producing and selling Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and its by-product Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs).

Oman LNG directly or indirectly undertakes project operations and activities necessary to liquefy, store, transport, and market Oman’s natural gas and to deliver LNG to foreign customers.


Oman Refinery and Petrochemical Company L.L.C.

At the behest of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the state-owned Oman Refinery Company and now-restructured Oman Refinery and Petrochemical Company (ORPC) was founded in 1982 to meet new challenges and start the next phase in Oman’s development.

Established as a limited liability company, ORPC was commissioned with a refining capacity of 50,000 barrels per day (BPD) to serve Oman’s local strategic demand of refined products.  Today, ORPC’s total process capacity stands at 222,000 BPD.

ITOCHU Corporation

Itochu is a corporation engaged in the domestic trading, import / export, and overseas trading of various products such as textiles, machinery, information and communications-related products, metals, products related to oil and other energy sources, general merchandise, chemicals and provisions, and food.

Moreover, ITOCHU has made multifaceted investments in insurance agencies, finance, construction, real estate trading, and warehousing as well as in operations and businesses incidental or related to those fields.


Oman Trading International

Oman Trading International (OTI) is a joint venture between OOC and Vitol that trades crude oil and related products in the international market place.

It is active in trading crude oil, oil products, and petrochemicals in the international market. Using Oman Oil Company’s local expertise and Vitol’s international experience and reputation, OTI capitalizes on the dynamics within the oil market to maximise value in the distribution chain and generate value-added returns for its shareholders.


Sohar Aluminium Company

Sohar Aluminum Company (SAC) was formed in September 2004 to undertake a landmark US$2.4 billion Greenfield Aluminum Smelter project in the Sultanate of Oman.  This project, which will contribute significantly to the GDP of Oman, will be developed in Sohar and will benefit from the current development of the Sohar Industrial Port.  SAC, in its first phase of development, will build a single AP35 potline with an annual production capacity of 350,000 tons together with associated carbon and casting facilities and a 1,000 MW gas-fired power station.


Salalah Methanol Company LLC(FZC)

Salalah Methanol is a limited liability companyset up to build,own, operate and maintain a methanol manufacturing facility inSalalah, Oman.The facilities are located in Salalah Free Zone. Salalah MethanolCompany is awholly owned subsidiary by Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C.


Osaka Gas Company

Osaka Gas Company (OGC) is a leading energy supplier with its core natural gas supply business serving 6.7 million customers in the Kansai Region.  With its portfolio of diversified energy businesses, OGC is developing into a multi-energy services provider of natural gas, electricity, LPG, district heating / cooling, and other services.  With its affiliated enterprises, Osaka Gas Group is also active in various non-energy business fields.



Vale is a diversified mining company with global focus and associated business onlogistics and electrical energy generation sectors and one of the world’sleading producers of iron ore and iron ore pellets, manganese, ferro-alloys,nickel, bauxite, potash, kaolin, aluminum and alumina. VALE exportsapproximately 250 million tons of iron ore per annum from Brazil to different partsof the world. By 2011-2012.

VALE will be exporting 450million tonnes of iron ore per annum.


Shell International Marketing

Shell is a global group of energy and petrochemical companies.  Their operations are divided into four main business areas namely, Upstream: explores for natural gas and crude oil, including in deep water, and produces these by developing onshore and offshore fields; Integrated Gas: cools natural gas to make liquefied natural gas (LNG) for transportation to customers around the world; Unconventional Resources: based in the Americas, produces tight, shale oil and gas; Downstream: manufactures oil products, biofuels and chemicals, which are then distributed and sold.  It also trades Shell`s hydrocarbons and other energy-related products, and manages a diversified fleet of natural gas carriers and oil tankers.
